A suppressed girl of late twenties (couldn’t build a sentimental relation) come under incidental sudden detention inside an elevator breakdown, she couldn’t contact anyone due to unknown problem, she received wrong telephone call .All of a sudden the caller started to flirt her while she couldn’t restrain him. The wrong telephone call developed and switched to be a sentimental relation via telephone and the girl start to reflect her desire not to leave her siege.

Shadi is an autistic boy living in the heart of the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain el Helweh. One day, his neighbor’s son steals his white pet dove, an event that constantly torments him. However, an unexpected present from his relatives abroad changes everything.

Not From Here

Not From Here is a short film that challenges the historical photograph as it morphs before our very eyes. It contests the idea of identity formation while subverting Western hegemonic historical narratives. Unleashing the unheimlich through repetition, it emphasises the multiplicity of moods and representations that can be inhabited in the same Arab women. Dislocating the “”prim and proper”“, it challenges assumptions about race, gender and class.”
